The Multnomah Community Ability Scales are currently available in two versions that can be used
separately or together to present a "big picture" view of mental health consumer abilities. Both instruments are copyrighted and require a one-time application and site license.

 

MCAS-R (REVISED CLINICIAN VERSION)

Both the MCAS-R instrument and manual are written in updated language that reflects contemporary perspectives about mental health treatment and recovery. The revised MCAS-R package includes:

 

CD-Rom: Both the MCAS-R and Users Manual documents are in Adobe® Acrobat™ PDF format
that allows ease of copying. Copies Pre-printed copies of the MCAS-R and User's Manual are also available from Network Ventures, Inc. if you prefer finished manuals with covers.  

 

MCAS-R instrument: Two pages, easily printed and copied back-to-back on one sheet of paper.

 

MCAS-R User's Manual: Contains additional guidance and details about the focus, defining elements, and exclusion rules to consider when rating consumer abilities. Also describes scale development, psychometrics information, suggested applications, normative data, and instructions to score and interpret results. Also included is a semi-structured interview to support easy completion of the instrument at intake, as well as a rater-credentialing protocol to assure minimum levels of rater competency.
